Common Names: String of Hearts, Rosary Vine, Chain of Hearts, Sweetheart Vine, Heart Vine, Hearts Entangled.
Description: Vining plant with heart-shaped grey-green leaves. Develops a woody caudex at the base with age, sometimes forming tubers along the vine. Flowers are distinctive, pink with a bulbous base and long tubular shape above.
Light: Bright, indirect light.
Water: Water when dry. Drought tolerant.
Origin: Native to Africa.
Interesting Fact: The plant was officially collected in 1881 by John Medly Wood, the curator of Durban Botanic Gardens (which is still an active botanic garden located just outside of Durban, South Africa).
