Actinidia arguta, the hardy kiwi, is a perennial vine native to Japan, Korea, Northern China, and the Russian Far East. It produces a small kiwifruit without the hair-like fiber covering the outside, unlike most other species of the genus.

  • Male Hardy Kiwi.
  • Scented greenish-white flowers bloom in June and edible grape-sized smooth-skinned fruits (to 1 1/4" long) mature in September-October. 
  • Use to pollinate up to 8 female Hardy Kiwi plants.
  • Deciduous vine.
  • Zones 4-9.
  • Full sun.
  • 10-12 ft. long.
