Shipping Plants
We can ship plants on a case by case basis within the continental United States. We charge a flat fee per box based on the shipping address for expedited 2-day shipping from our Farm in Portland, Oregon, plus the cost of the plants.
What fits in a box?
For most plants, we can fit the following number of pots in a box:
- 4in & Qrts pots - 1 flat (usually 8-10 plants)
- 1gal pots - 4 plants
- 2-5gal pots- 1 plant with a max height of 40 inches.
- Bare Root - 5 per box (primarily roses in February)
There are some exceptions including plants with horizontal growth that cannot be confined to a 12x12 inch rectangular box or B&B/field-dug plants in clay soil that are too heavy to safely pack.
No Guarantees or Warranties
We make sure all plants are in perfect health upon boxing and package them thoroughly to protect them, but are not able to offer any warranty on plants that are shipped outside of the standard shipping insurance that protects against boxes that are lost, etc since their conditions in transit are completely out of both of our control.
Ready to place an order?
If that is of interest to you, please send your order to sales@cornellfarms.com , including the exact name, size and price of each plant as they appear on our website and we will email back an invoice you can use to pay for the order through our website. Once the order is paid, the plants will be pulled and prepared for shipping. We generally ship orders early in the week.
