Since the age of the ancient Greeks, dogs have been a symbol of the sweltering days of mid-summer. When the "Dog Star" Sirius returns to the night sky in the constellation Canis Major, the last lazy days of summer give us a moment to enjoy nature's splendor — and the company of man's best friend.

We love seeing your dogs around the Farm, so August is our celebration of all things canine! Now through August 31, share a photo of your dog at the Nursery for a chance to win delightfully doggy prizes.

2) Submit your pup pics here. The final deadline to tag or submit entries is 11:59pm on August 31, 2026.

3) OPTIONAL: Share your Dog Days photos on social media and tag us @CornellFarm.
