You're invited to join plant parents from across the community at our free quarterly Houseplant Swap! Bring a few plants or cuttings to trade or give away. Any and all indoor plants are welcome at this free community event, from common finds to coveted collector varieties. We can't wait to see you!
How does it work?
When you bring a plant to the swap, you can either add it to the free table or negotiate for a trade.
Negotiation Tables: If you want to negotiate the trade for a specific plant, place it on a negotiation table. Stay close so people can make offers and talk to you about it until you are both happy with the trade or gift.
Free Tables: If you want to give plants, cuttings, or containers away freely, add them to the free tables for anyone to pick up!
1. All plants should be labeled, healthy, and pest-free! In general, cuttings should be rooted, but if you have fresh cuttings to share from easy-to-root plants, these would be acceptable offerings for the free table.
2. Be sure to bring cuttings in containers that you don't care to get back — recycled mason jars, plastic cups, and baggies work great!
3. No sales. This is an event about exchanging plants and knowledge, not cash. This event aims to celebrate the spirit of generosity between plant enthusiasts. Please don't offer to buy or sell. We encourage trading and giving
What if I don't have anything to trade?
Bring your questions! We all have to start somewhere and this event doubles as an opportunity to connect with our staff and other plant-lovers. You might just go home with a plant or cutting in addition to your new knowledge!
