"Bring-Your-Own-Container" Terrarium Workshop
at Cornell Farm
Session Date: Saturday, January 28
Session Time: 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Cost: $50
Location: Cafe Pavilion
Do you have an interesting glass container lying around that you keep meaning to turn into a terrarium? Well, here's your chance! We'll provide all the plants, soil, and tools you need to fill a terrarium, and our houseplant experts will share all of the how-to knowledge and tips you need to bring your creation to life. All you need to do is provide the glass vessel in which to build your miniature world — or purchase one of the many options we have to choose from right here at the Farm ahead of time. (Please note: If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with an open container, rather than trying to make a closed terrarium.)
The cost of registration covers all the materials you need to fill a terrarium (soil, pebbles, and drainage barrier) and up to four 2" plants — plus the use of our tools. Along with their glass container, participants are encouraged to bring any decorative touches from home (rocks, driftwood, etc.) that they might like to incorporate into their terrarium for a bit of added personality. Additional plants and materials will also be available for purchase at the time of the workshop.
