The Lanzhou lily (Lilium davidii var. unicolor) hails from China, where it is grown not for its beautiful orange flowers, but for its culinary value! Its large bulbs flake into "petals" that are both crunchy and sweet, making them perfect for use in stir-frys, soups, and more, although all parts of the plant are edible.
